- Player identifier: The app creates a random identifier on your device so the service can recognize your scores and match activity.
- Display name: The name you choose is used in multiplayer rooms and leaderboards.
- Gameplay content: We process game moves, scores, challenge attempts, room information, and match results.
- Connection information: Our hosting infrastructure may process standard technical information, such as an IP address and request time, to deliver and protect the service.
Information Stored on Your Device
CardsBoard uses local preferences to store your random player identifier, display name, and server settings. This information helps the app remember your choices. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
How We Use Information
- Operate solo, challenge, leaderboard, and multiplayer features.
- Validate scores and preserve fair competition.
- Maintain security, reliability, and troubleshoot problems.
Sharing and Public Information
Your chosen display name and score may be visible to other players on leaderboards or in multiplayer rooms. We may use hosting providers to operate CardsBoard, but we do not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or share information for cross-app tracking.
Data Retention
Weekly challenge boards and their associated attempts are designed to be retained for approximately four weeks. Multiplayer and operational records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Your Choices
You can change your display name in the app. Deleting the app removes preferences stored locally on that device. To request access to or deletion of server-side information, contact us at support@makethembetter.com.
Children’s Privacy
CardsBoard is not designed to collect personal contact information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as CardsBoard changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the latest version took effect.
